Hasiru Dala, started in 2013, is an organization of waste workers that works towards improving the livelihood and quality of life of waste pickers by providing total waste management services through them to bulk generators of waste. It also provides social services and support to the waste picking community. Hasiru Dala therefore impacts both lives and the environment. Hasiru Dala has identified ~2500 vulnerable wastepickers’ families (no BPL/ration card, no public housing, no predictable income) in 6 cities/towns in Karnataka (Bengaluru, Mysuru, Tumakuru, Davanagere, Hubli/Dharawad) and Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh who need immediate support. We are seeking your funding support for providing care kits consisting of 25 kg of rice/wheat, 5 kg lentils, 2 litres of cooking oil, salt, chilli powder, ground nuts and 500 g of jaggery, as well as 2 bars of soap, with each kit costing around 1,600/- including transportation to their homes.
Target is to support will go on to support 30,000 families of migrant workers across seven states of India. Funds collected through this campaign will be utilized in implementing the following activities in cities and rural areas: • Providing essential safety materials (such as masks, sanitisers & soap) • Providing daily utilities & essentials (such as food grains & food packages) • Providing emergency financial protection • Providing accurate information regarding basic hygiene and safety

Doctors For You is a well-known not-for-profit organization known for its medical relief during disaster across South Asia. Amongst other activities, their work in India includes a hospital in Bihar managed by 80+ hospital staff which played a significant role during the Bihar floods and Encephalitis outbreak last year. Doctors For You (DFY) is setting up a 20-bedded facility (along with isolation facility) for the management of suspected and serious COVID19 cases. With no other specialty care health facility nearby, Vistex hospital is the only hospital located in the area that can provide quality emergency health care services within such a short time
Immediate goal is to ensure that people on the roads or stuck somewhere survive this lockdown time, with access to basic consumables.
